Statement of Faith

The declaration of faith of Team of God Worship International Ministries is as below;

  1. We believe in the existence of God of the bible, who created the heavens and the earth. The God of heaven exists in three persons, the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 13:14, Ephesians 4:4-6)
  2. We believe that Jesus of the Nazareth is the son of God (John 20:30-31) he came to earth, live sinless among men, died on the cross, arose on the third day and ascended back to heaven and he will return to take his kingdom (the church) home to God. (1 Corinthians 15:23-26, Ephesians 5:23-27)
  3. We believe that bible is inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and there is no other creed or doctrine given to man through inspiration since the days of the new testaments (Jude 1:3)
  4. We believe that the purpose of the church is to glorify God by preaching the gospel for the salvation of men (Luke 19:10) all are born without sin or its associated guilt (Ezekiel 18:20), but all eventually become sinners through the exercise of free will (James 1:13-17)
  5. We believe that holiness, prayer, intercession, fasting, and the word of God (BIBLE) are standards of living for his people.
  6. We believe that bible teaches that sinners are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5-7) which includes hearing the gospel and believe in Christ (Acts 2:28, 17:30-31) confessing Jesus as Lord (Mark 10:32 and Romans 10:9-10).
  7. Baptized, immersed in water to receive remission of sins (Acts 2:38, 22:16)
  8. Living in accordance with God’s word until death (1 John 1:7, Math 10:22)
  9. We believe and encourage sincere worship in accordance with the word of God (John 4:24) and include praying to God the Father through Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5, Mark 6:9-13, Colossians 1:3 observing the Lord’s supper every Lord’s day Acts 2:42; 20:7; 1corinthians 11:17-34) giving (1 Corinthians 16:1-2, 2 Corinthians 9:6-7) congregational (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16) preaching/ teaching God’s word (2 Timothy 4:1-5, Acts 20:7)
  10. We believe Christians should love one another (John 13:34-35) live godly lives as doctrine by scripture (Titus 2:11-12, 1 Peter 1:15-16)
  11. Render benevolence to all those in need (Galatians 6:9-10, James 1:27)
  12. Practice for every member evangelism and mass evangelism Acts 8:4.
  13. Purse religious unity by simply following the New Testament pattern and putties aside all human creeds and traditions (John 17:17-23).
  14. We believe in speaking various tongues as spirit gives utterance.
  15. We believe that man was directly and immediately created by God in His own image and likeliness (Genesis 2:7, 15-25; James 3:9. Colossians 1:16; Isaiah 43:7and Revelations 4:11)
  16. We believe there are holy angels and fallen (Luke 2:9-14; Mathew 25:41; Genesis 3:1-15)
  17. We believe that there shall be the rapture of the church (1 Thessalonians 4:16)
  18. We believe in the premillennial second coming of Jesus Christ. Christ will come to occupy the throne of David on earth.
  19. We believe that salvation is whole of by God’s grace on the basis of the revelations of Jesus Christ, the merit of his shed blood and not on the basis of the human merits or work. (John 1:12; Ephesians 1:4-7; 1Peter 1:18-19)
  20. We believe that elections is the act of God by which before the foundation of the world, he chose in Christ those whom he generously saves and sanctifies. (Romans 8:28-30; Ephesians 1:4-7; Ezekiel 18:23-3; John 3:18-19.)
  21. We believe that regeneration is a supernatural work of the holy spirit John 3:3-8, Titus 3:5, John 5:24)
  22. We believe that justification before God is an act of God (Romans 8:30-33)
  23. We believe that every believer is a set apart act 20:32, 1Corinthians 1:2, Hebrews.
  24. We believe that all the redeemed once saved are kept by god’s power and are assured in Christ.
  25. We believe that separation from sin is clearly called for throughout the old and new testaments. (2Corithians 6:14, 2Timothy 3:1-5, 2Thessolonians1:11-12, Hebrews 12:1-2)
  26. We believe that the supreme authority of the church is Christ. (Ephesians 1:22, Colossians 1:18) and gives qualification of the true church (Acts 20:28, Ephesians 4:11, 1Timothy 3:1-13, Titus 1:5-9, 1Peter 5:1-5, I Timothy 5:17-22, Hebrews 13:7-17.)
  27. We believe that there shall be judgment (James 5:22, Mathew 25:41, Revelations 20:9).
  28. We believe in eternity (1 Corinthians 15:28, john 17:3, Revelations 20:15)
